Description
This lovely little box with a bentwood handle and fine folk art painting is in wonderful condition with an overall dark patina. It is constructed with early nails and weaving with I’m not sure what material. The detail and construction are extra special. The box was given to a bride to collect all her little keepsakes. It is reported that they were never made in America even though the painting resembles the work of the Pennsylvania Dutch. The box measures 9″ across, 15″ from end to end and 7 1/4″ high not including the handles which add 2″ to the overall height. Shipping is at the expense of the buyer.
