Born in Amiens, France, Louis Rosan studied art at Ecole des Beaux-Arts d’ Amiens from 1941 to 1944. He received a diploma from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs de Paris in 1947, Laureat du Prix du Pientre, 1956, Laureat du Prix des Vikings, 1957, Laureat du Prix Feneon-Universite de Paris, 1961, Laureat du Prix de Taverny, 1973, Invite a la Premiere Biennale de Paris, 1959. Louis Rosan has participated in exhibitions in all major Paris salons, and was a member of the Salon d’ Automne and the Salon des Independents in Paris. He has also had group and one-man exhibitions in Vannes, Amiens, Grenoble, Tehran, New York and Palm Beach.
